Maternal Health
Maternal Health encourages early, regular & comprehensive prenatal health care to improve the chances of having a healthy baby.
Maternal Health appointments provide:
Maternal Health encourages early, regular & comprehensive prenatal health care to improve the chances of having a healthy baby.
Maternal Health appointments provide:
- Payment for child birth &/or parenting classes
- Education about labor, delivery, infant & self care
- Nutrition counseling & supplemental food for eligible women through WIC
- Referrals to other health care or local community services, including help finding a dentist
- Presumptive eligibility for Medicaid
- Help arranging delivery
- Social assessments & referrals
- Referrals for family planning & child health care
- Care Coordination services, including transportation and translation assistance
Child Health
Child Health Program provides financial assistance for un-insured or under-insured children needing medical & dental care.
Children from birth to age 21 receive:
- Well-child examinations by family physicians
- Immunizations & lead screenings
- Nutrition assessments & counseling
- Oral health screenings, fluoride varnishes and sealant applications by a registered dental hygienist & payment for dental examinations
- Care coordination services, including transportation and translation assistance
