Effective 4/6/2020

In response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, Mid-Sioux Opportunity, Inc. continues to take actions to ensure the safety of its employees and the families we serve. We will still be working to meet the needs of families who need assistance.

We are only staffing Outreach Offices that have a food pantry. We encourage families to reach out to us over the phone or by email instead of coming to our offices. Our services have been altered in the following ways:

  • All applications will be taken over the phone or online
  • Food packages will be available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays by calling ahead and picked up curbside
  • Staff may be reached by phone or email Monday through Friday with questions or concerns

Please be aware that office hours may change as Mid-Sioux Opportunity will follow the recommendations of our funding agencies, the Iowa Department of Public Health, and the National Centers for Disease Control.

Our main outreach contacts are as follows:

Cherokee County Outreach

Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm or

Sioux County Outreach

(712) 722-3611

Plymouth, Ida, and Lyon County families may reach staff at the above phone numbers, email, or call 1-800-859-2025 to apply for services over the phone.
