Local businesses in five counties along with Mid-Sioux Opportunity, Inc. have raised nearly $1,300 collectively to provide assistance to needy families this winter. Funds were raised by patrons purchasing mittens for $1 at participating businesses. Those funds were then provided to Mid-Sioux Opportunity, Inc. to assist families in need. “Our sponsors and donors came through once again and our mitten campaign was a success. Although there are many positive signs in our local economy, there are families that need our help. Thanks to everyone for supporting Mid-Sioux and the families we serve.” said Dick Sievers, Mid-Sioux Executive Director.
Thank you to those businesses that participated and allowed so many families to receive assistance this winter.
