2026 Richard Hatz Scholarship Application 

Mid-Sioux Opportunity, Inc. is now accepting applications for the 2026 Richard Hatz Scholarship. Two $500 scholarships will be awarded at the 2026 Annual Meeting on Friday, May 1st, 2026. The Richard Hatz Scholarship was developed in honor of Dick Hatz' dedication to Mid-Sioux Opportunity, Inc. The scholarship is funded through donations and contributions from staff and board members of Mid-Sioux. Recipients of the scholarship are chosen based on their prior service to their community and their plans to further that service through educational advancement.

Eligibility: All residents of Lyon, Sioux, Plymouth, Cherokee and Ida counties are eligible to apply as long as they will be enrolled in an institution of higher learning during the calendar year that awards are granted and will be obtaining a degree in: Business, Health, Nutrition, Early Education or Energy Conservation fields. Mid-Sioux Opportunity, Inc. employees are eligible, as well as their children or grandchildren.

Application instructions are included on our website. An online application form will be available tomorrow, February 13th. The application deadline is Wednesday, March 18th, 2026 at 4:30 PM.
